Puerto Banus street market takes place on Saturdays mornings, i remember it in the 90´s as a place where antiques and art dealers sold their merchandise around the Bullring. Nowadays it is a street market, where every Saturday you can find a charger for your mobile phone, a leather belt, Persian and Moroccan rugs or a genuine Panama hat. Some paintings and few furniture, but it has lot of charm.
If you do not know the area, let me tell you several things:
First of all, Puerto Banus Street Market is NOT in Puerto Banus. It is located in Nueva Andalucia, opposite side of the highway, north side.
f you are driving, leave your car in Puerto Banus in the parking lot and believe me, you better go walking. Driving around “Plaza de Toros” on Saturdays it´s crazy, avoid it.
Wear your most comfortable shoes. Usually it gets hot, crowded and the road is uphill, (you should know it) so I recommend starting from the roundabout closest to Puerto Banus and walk towards the Bullring so the return will be downhill.
It has three different areas, the street that goes up, the parking lot and up and the shopping center area.
The stalls sell clothing, belts, bags, shoes, embroidered tablecloths, pottery from Granada, …
The parking area is a good mix of sunglasses, made in china gadgets, lamps and Moroccan dishes, rabbit fur coats, some bags made in Spain (unbelievable but true), beach baskets … customers from all over the world, some Spanish, very few Russians and lots of German, Dutch or French … This is Marbella!!

En Puerto Banús, hay un mercadillo que se celebra todos los sábados por la mañana, empezó siendo un lugar donde anticuarios y marchantes vendían muebles y arte alrededor de la Plaza de Toros, pero actualmente, es un mercadillo al aire libre en el que puedes encontrar un cargador para el móvil, un cinturón de cuero, alfombras persas o marroquíes, toallas de grandes marcas de imitación o un sombrero de Panamá auténtico.
Con algunas galerías que exponen aún sus cuadros y con bastante menos muebles que antaño, sigue teniendo su encanto.
Si no conoces la zona, has de saber varias cosas:
En primer lugar, no es en Puerto Banus. Es en Nueva Andalucía, al otro lado de la carretera, lado norte.
Si vas en coche, aparca en Puerto Banus en el parking y vas dando un paseo. Los sábados, circular en coche desde Puerto Banus hacia la Plaza de Toros es una locura, evítalo.
Es el día de sacar tus zapatos más cómodos. Suele hacer calor, hay mucha gente y la calle es cuesta arriba, así que recomiendo empezar desde la rotonda más cercana al Puerto Banús para ir subiendo hacia la Plaza de Toros y así la vuelta será cuesta abajo.
Tiene tres partes, la calle de subida, la explanada del parking del centro comercial y la zona del centro comercial.
La calle de subida es donde más público español hay, españoles de Madrid, Bilbao, algún sevillano pero normalmente son de Despeñaperros para arriba. Los puestos son muy variados, ropa, cinturones, bolsos, zapatos, manteles bordados, cerámica de Granada, …
El parking es una buena mezcla de puestos de gafas de sol, gadgets made in china, lámparas y platos de Marruecos, puestos de abrigos de pieles de conejo, alguno de bolsos made in Spain (increíble pero cierto), cestas de estrellas y corazones de lentejuelas,… Clientela de lo más variopinta, una madrileña buscando la toalla de Loewe, dos rusas con el bling bling y una holandesa buscando un vestido de tirantes para ir a la playa en noviembre … Marbella en estado puro.
Al ir subiendo desde Puerto Banus hacia la Plaza de Toros, el porcentaje de españoles va disminuyendo, hasta llegar arriba, al Centro Comercial, donde está la mayor concentración de residentes extranjeros por metro cuadrado de la zona. Son muy fan de las soleadas terrazas del centro Plaza, así que o comprando o tomando algo en alguna terraza encontrarás montones de guiris.
Arriba, en el Centro Comercial Andalucia Plaza es donde están los artesanos, los puestos más “chic” y de todo un poco.
Los pasillos y zonas comunes del centro comercial se llenan de tienditas que por unas horas cada sábado, venden productos ya clásicos del mercadillo de Banús, zapatillas pintadas a mano, servilleteros, bajoplatos y cajas de ratán, los trajes de baño de hombre con estampado Liberty, fulares multiusos tipo Basetti que cubren la mitad de los sofás de Guadalmina y de vez en cuando hacen de mantel para la mesa del porche y un largo etcétera que merece la pena conocer.
Este no es el mercadillo donde van los locales a comprar lechugas y patatas del terreno, una fuente para el gazpacho o los calcetines del cole para el niño. Si quieres ver donde compra la gente del pueblo, y escuchar eso de “Niña, er chaquetón de borreguito p´al invierno” tienes que ir al “Barato” los lunes en Marbella o los jueves en San Pedro.

Marbella’s Old Town is one of the most beautiful of its kind in Andalucía.
It is a magnificently preserved area with narrow, white streets and floral balconies where, along with a wide range of establishments, you will find Plaza de los Naranjos or Orange trees Square.

Talking about Bioparc Fuengirola is referring to a different concept of zoo. A zoo where animals live together in a recreation of their natural habitat that favors their development at all levels. Visit is to enter a real documentary about the deepest tropical forests.
Bioparc Fuengirola is characterized, among other things, for its architectural design called zoo-immersion, which immerses visitors in the environment of the animal. The whole park is designed to envelop him who wanders into a recreation of habitat from which the animals. The hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, patron saint of Mijas, was excavated in the rock by Mercedarian friars in 1548. Also from the 16th century is the church of the Immaculate Conception. The temple stands on the esplanade of a hill that hosted a castle and a mosque. It consists of three naves with Mudejar coffering in the central and a bell tower.

Museums in Mijas Max’s Wagon is a curious museum of miniatures. Among his pieces stand a prayer written on the edge of a card and a portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the head of a pin.
The House Museum of the Villa has ethnographic character, while the Bullfighting Museum of Mijas brings the visitor to the history of the national holiday.
To these spaces is added the Interpretation Center of the Torres Vigía, installed in one of the four towers of the beacons that mark the coastline of this municipality on the Costa del Sol.
Donkey taxi Mijas Taxi donkeys are a peculiar means of transport that originated in the sixties of the last century. Many visitors liked to be photographed with the animals of the field workers. Some even asked to go around on their donkeys. The service was professionalized and today is a famous tourist attraction.
A great advantage for your visit to Malaga is that all the points of interest are concentrated in the area known as the historic center, and that practically all of its streets are pedestrianized.
This leads to a very comfortable and pleasant visit, where the atmosphere of the terraces of bars and restaurants become great protagonists of your walk.
Therefore, what you should do is stroll through the streets of the historic center, which is bounded by the hill of Gibralfaro Castle and the Alcazaba to the east, the parks and the seafront, to the south, and the river to the west.
The main axis of your visit starts from the famous Calle Larios, passing through the Plaza de la Constitución, to reach Alcazabilla Street, where the Roman Theater and the Alcazaba are located.
A good way to start your visit would be to climb the Castle of Gibralfaro, whose origins date back to the Phoenician era, and which forms a fortified complex together with the Alcazaba, extending along the hill. From the top of the Castle of Gibralfaro you have excellent panoramic views of the city of Malaga, which will allow you to place and size your visit.

Of the different museums that you find in Malaga, from my point of view these are the three most advisable to visit, by personal order of preference.
Picasso Museum of Malaga, where in twelve rooms you can see a very interesting and even curious selection of the work of the artist from Malaga, with representation of its different eras.
Automobile Museum of Malaga, with a sample of 91 classic cars from the collection of Portuguese Joao de Magalhaes, and where you can also see curious accessories from the automotive world.
Carmen Thyssen Museum, opened in the spring of 2011 in the Palace of Villalón, from the 16th century, especially you can see Spanish painting, and specifically, Andalusian, with works of romantic and costumbrista style.
In your tour around the historic center of Malaga, you will also have the opportunity to discover interesting places. Look, for example, at the main gate of the Atarazanas Market, rescued from the Arab shipyards where ships were built and repaired.
Or in the beautiful and colorful buildings of the Archbishop’s Palace and the church of San Agustín. And do not miss the Mudejar tower of the church of Santiago.

And if you are looking for a popular area where you will hardly find tourists, you have to go to tapas at one of the chiringuitos in the old fishmonger’s neighborhood of Pedregalejo, next to the beach.
El Puerto José Banús, more commonly known as Puerto Banús, is a luxury marina, located in the urbanization Nueva Andalucía-Marbella.
This tourist enclave has become, since it was opened in 1970 in one of the largest entertainment centers in the Costa del Solo, reaching international fame and prestige.
Its geographical location and visit many popular characters make it an attractive summer destination.
The heart of Puerto Banus are its docks, a mix of shops and restaurants luxury yachts and dream cars.
Plaza Antonio Banderas, located just behind the marina, represents the axis of the urban core: here you find a colorful market craft and local celebrities like the Hard Rock Cafe and around shopping centers such as El Corte Ingles or Marina Banus, restaurants, bars or cinemas.
All this without forgetting the proximity of Casino de Marbella, located in the Hotel H10 Andalucía Plaza.

The beach of Puerto Banus or Rio Verde is spacious and perfect for those who love to water activities. The beach is about one kilometer long by 50 meters wide, the sand is golden and medium grain, and the state of the sea is almost always calm as it is protected by several breakwaters, making it ideal for bath. Mistral Beach is in a small bay in Playas del Duque. It is a safe, cozy beach, for families and couples and with lower occupancy in high season.
It has a free parking managed by the City council during the high season , so we recommend for your comfort and especially during the hot summer days that go by car. It takes 10-15 min. walk from the property to Mistral Beach.
How to arrive by car from the appartment.

It is 5 min. drive. There is always a great animation at any time of day. Probably you have to leave the car in one of the Puerto Banus parking and in High season are a little bit expensive. But is a good plan stay in the beach, dress your self and have a fantastic meal in one of the fancy restaurants or go shopping to the Corte Inglés store or luxury boutiques.
It is a 5-10 min. drive (depending on traffic to algeciras). Marbella tiene mucho que ofrecerte para que pases unos días que nunca olvidarás. Empieza conociendo aquí algunas de sus muchas posibilidades.
Entre el verdor de los pinos surge el blanco caserío del pueblo, plagado de rincones pintorescos por los que pasean los famosos burros-taxi.
El pueblo de Mijas, declarado Conjunto Histórico-Artístico, se extiende por la ladera de la sierra del mismo nombre. El casco antiguo conserva el trazado de origen árabe y los restos de sus antiguas murallas son hoy un excepcional mirador con hermosos jardines. Desde este emplazamiento se obtiene una sorprendente panorámica de la Costa del Sol.
La ermita de la Virgen de la Peña, patrona de Mijas, fue excavada en la roca por frailes mercedarios en 1548. También del siglo XVI es la iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción. El templo se levanta en la explanada de un cerro que acogió un castillo y una mezquita. Consta de tres naves con artesonado mudéjar en la central y una torre campanario.
El viajero podrá acercarse durante su estancia en Mijas a las ermitas de San Sebastián y de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, ambas del siglo XVIII. Una centuria más tarde se construyó la ermita de San Antón en cumplimiento del voto que hicieron unos marinos a punto de naufragar. Este santuario está enclavado junto a las ruinas de Tamisa.
La ermita del Calvario destaca por su ubicación, en la falda de la Sierra. Hasta ella se llega a través de un camino por el que discurre un Vía Crucis en Semana Santa. Fue erigida en el siglo XIX como retiro espiritual para los monjes Carmelitas.
El Carromato de Max es un curioso museo de miniaturas. Entre sus piezas sobresalen una oración escrita en el borde de una tarjeta y un retrato de Abraham Lincoln en la cabeza de un alfiler. La Casa Museo de la Villa tiene carácter etnográfico, mientras que el Museo Taurino de Mijas acerca al visitante a la historia de la fiesta nacional. A estos espacios se suma el Centro de Interpretación de las Torres Vigía, instalado en una de las cuatro torres almenaras que jalonan el litoral de este municipio de la Costa del Sol.
Los burros-taxi constituyen un peculiar medio de transporte que tiene su origen en los años sesenta del siglo pasado. A muchos visitantes les gustaba fotografiarse junto a los animales de los trabajadores del campo. Algunos incluso pedían dar una vuelta subidos en sus burros. El servicio se profesionalizó y hoy es una famosa atracción turística.
Una gran ventaja para tu visita de Málaga es que todos los puntos de interés están concentrados en la zona que se conoce como centro histórico, y que prácticamente todas sus calles están peatonalizadas.
Esto propicia una visita muy cómoda y agradable, donde el ambiente de las terrazas de bares y restaurantes se convierten en grandes protagonistas de tu paseo.
Por tanto, lo que deberás hacer es pasear por las calles del centro histórico, el cual se encuentra delimitado por la colina del Castillo de Gibralfaro y la Alcazaba al este, los parques y el paseo marítimo, al sur, y el río al oeste.
El eje principal de tu visita parte de famosa calle Larios, pasando por laplaza de la Constitución, para llegar a la calle Alcazabilla, donde se concentran el Teatro Romano y la Alcazaba.
Una buena forma de iniciar tu visita sería subir al Castillo de Gibralfaro, cuyos orígenes se remontan a la época fenicia, y que forma un conjunto fortificado junto con la Alcazaba, extendiéndose a lo largo de la colina.
Desde lo alto del Castillo de Gibralfaro tienes unas excelentes vistas panorámicas de la ciudad de Málaga, que te permitirán situar y dimensionar tu visita.
La Catedral de Málaga es el mayor monumento que puedes visitar en su centro histórico. Si bien su denominación oficial es Catedral de la Encarnación, popularmente en conocida como la manquita.
En un edificio majestuos0 que muestra una estética exterior muy peculiar, consecuencia de la época de transición arquitectónica en la que se construyó, durante el siglo XVI.
En su interior encuentras numerosos rincones artísticos de distintos estilos, desde el gótico hasta el Renacimiento.
El desarrollo cultural que ha tenido Málaga en los últimos años, con la apertura de nuevos museos, ha cambiado la imagen de esta ciudad andaluza.
De los diversos museos que encuentras en Málaga, desde mi punto de vista estos son los tres más aconsejables de visitar, por orden personal de preferencia.
Museo Picasso de Málaga, donde en doce salas puedes ver una selección muy interesante y hasta curiosa de la obra del artista malagueño, con representación de sus distintas épocas.
Museo Automovilístico de Málaga, con una muestra de 91 coches clásicos de la colección del portugués Joao de Magalhaes, y donde también puedes ver curiosos complementos del mundo del automóvil.
Museo Carmen Thyssen, abierto en la primavera del 2011 en el Palacio de Villalón, del siglo XVI, sobre todo puedes ver pintura española, y en concreto, andaluza, con obras de estilo romántico y costumbrista.
En tu paseo turístico por el centro histórico de Málaga, también tendrás la ocasión de descubrir interesantes rincones.
Fíjate, por ejemplo, en la puerta principal del Mercado de Atarazanas, rescatada de las atarazanas árabes donde se construían y reparaban barcos.
O en los bellos y coloridos edificios del Palacio Arzobispal y la iglesia de San Agustín. Y no pierdas la torre mudéjar de la iglesia de Santiago.
Y no dejes de visitar la plaza de la Merced, o entrar y recorrer el curioso Pasaje de Chinitas, frente a la plaza de la Constitución.
El centro histórico de Málaga te ofrece una amplísima oferta de bares y restaurantes, con sus terrazas, donde poder tapear y comer. Si quieres ir a uno de los bares más típicos, te debes acercar a El Pimpi, cuya terraza puedes ver frente al Teatro Romano.
Y si buscas una zona popular donde apenas encontrarás turistas, has de ir a tapear a alguno de los chiringuitos del antiguo barrio de pescaderos de Pedregalejo, junto a la playa.
Ronda hace gala de una monumentalidad de la que pocos destinos pueden presumir.
Su casco antiguo, declarado Conjunto Histórico-Artístico, es una sucesión de edificios que responden a los más diversos estilos arquitectónicos y rincones llenos de encanto.
Desde la decimonónica Alameda del Tajo, el viajero comenzará a percibir la grandiosidad de la ‘Ciudad Soñada’ por Rainer Maria Rilke y la singular belleza de su entorno natural.
El Puente Nuevo fue construido sobre el Tajo en el siglo XVIII. Mide 98 metros y su tablero se apoya en grandes arcos de medio punto.
Las mejores vistas de tan imponente obra se obtienen desde los balcones de los Jardines de Cuenca. Más antiguo pero menos espectacular es el Puente Viejo, diseñado en 1616. En su entorno se hallan el Arco de Felipe V y el famoso Sillón del Rey Moro.
El Palacio de Mondragón es el monumento civil más notable de la ciudad. Fue edificado en el siglo XIV y actualmente alberga el Museo de Ronda. El viajero también podrá visitar la modernista Casa de San Juan Bosco y el Palacio del Marqués de Salvatierra.
Otras muestras del patrimonio cultural son la Casa del Gigante, joya de la arquitectura nazarí, y el Palacio del Rey Moro, del siglo XVIII. Una escalera tallada en la roca conduce desde sus jardines a la mina de origen árabe que desciende hasta el río.
La Puerta de Almocábar era uno de los accesos a la medina musulmana. De ese periodo perduran varios tramos de murallas, otras tres puertas, el Alminar de San Sebastián y los Baños Árabes mejor conservados de España. Fuera del casco antiguo se emplazan el monasterio rupestre mozárabe de la Virgen de la Cabeza y las ruinas de Acinipo. Entre los restos de la ciudad romana sobresale el teatro, con su cávea esculpida en la roca.
A los jardines de la plaza de la Duquesa de Parcent se asoma la iglesia de Santa María la Mayor, levantada sobre una mezquita, y la Casa Consistorial, situada en el antiguo cuartel de milicias. En este espacio urbano se localizan la iglesia de la Caridad y el convento de Santa Isabel de los Ángeles, ambos del siglo XVI.
De entre los inmuebles erigidos por orden de los Reyes Católicos destacan además la iglesia del Espíritu Santo y el Convento de Santo Domingo. Cerca de la dieciochesca Fuente de los Ocho Caños se alza la iglesia del Padre Jesús y a escasa distancia aparece el Templete de la Virgen de los Dolores.
El viajero tendrá ocasión de ver la mano incorrupta de Santa Teresa en la iglesia de la Merced, acercarse a la patrona de Ronda en el Santuario de la Virgen de la Paz o admirar los retablos de la iglesia de Santa Cecilia. El catálogo de monumentos religiosos se completa con los conventos de la Madre de Dios y de San Francisco.
El Objetivo del museo es ofrecer información sencilla y clara sobre la institución de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda, su influencia en el desarrollo y evolución del Arte de la Tauromaquia, y el lugar que ocupa Ronda en la historia de la Fiesta Nacional.
El Museo de la Tauromaquia, bajo los tendidos de la plaza, propone al visitante un recorrido cronológico en torno a los aspectos fundamentales de la fiesta nacional, la ciudad de Ronda, la relación con la caballería y, en definitiva, con la institución misma, promotora de la tradición taurina.
En febrerode 2006 se añadió al conjunto la colección de la Real Guarnicionería de la Casa de Orleáns, perteneciente al rey Luis Felipe de Francia y a su hijo, el duque de Montpensier. Y, más recientemente, una colección única de Armas de Fuego Antiguas para la caza y el duelo, que abarca desde el siglo XVI al XIX.
Este panorama de usos y costumbres caballerescos se completa con la galería dedicada a la Real Maestranza de Caballería, que repasa sus orígenes, vinculados a las órdenes de caballería; su heráldica y señas de identidad, como corporación nobiliaria que se ha mantenido a lo largo del tiempo; y su relación con la ciudad de Ronda.

Hablar de Bioparc Fuengirola es referirse a un concepto diferente de zoo. Un parque zoológico en el que los animales conviven en una recreación de su hábitat natural que favorece su desarrollo a todos los niveles. Visitarlo es adentrarse en un auténtico documental sobre los más profundos bosques tropicales.
Bioparc Fuengirola se caracteriza, entre otras cosas, por su diseño arquitectónico denominado zoo-inmersión, que sumerge al visitante en el entorno del animal. Todo el parque está pensado para envolver a quien pasea por él en una recreación del hábitat de donde proceden los animales. Hay una solución de continuidad entre el espacio físico que ocupa el público y el que ocupa el animal con el objetivo de transmitir parte de la magia que supone recorrer el bosque y descubrir a sus habitantes.

La recreación de los hábitats de África, Asia y Madagascar se realizó mediante lematización; se crearon taludes, cascadas, rocas, troncos e incluso árboles de apariencia real. La creación del árbol baobab: uno de los árboles artificiales más grandes del mundo, con 25 m de altura, fue un gran desafío para los diseñadores del parque. Especies emblemáticas.
En total, hoy conviven en el zoo 130 especies diferentes y más de 1400 individuos.
Bioparc cuenta con especies tan emblemáticas como el Tigre de Sumatra, incluido en la Lista Roja de Especies Amenazadas de la UICN (Unión para la Conservación de la Naturaleza) con la máxima categoría de “Críticamente amenazada”. Actualmente, sólo quedan 250 ejemplares libres en su hábitat natural y el parque ha conseguido su reproducción.
Así mismo, en el parque cuentan con especies exclusivas y de gran importancia biológica como el Falso Gavial Malayo, del que se ha conseguido su reproducción por primera vez en cautividad, o el Duiker azul, ambas únicas en España, o un grupo reproductor de gorilas, los únicos que se pueden contemplar en Andalucía.
Claro de Selva, un documental en vivo.
La exhibición de aves y mamíferos “Claro de Selva” pretende acercar al visitante un poco más a algunos animales de los bosques tropicales. Se trata de una exhibición pionera en España, ya que se han unido por primera vez y en el mismo lugar a mamíferos terrestres y aves al mismo tiempo.
El escenario recreado reproduce un claro de selva en torno a dos gigantescos árboles, una cascada, un río y vegetación tropical, donde el visitante se traslada a lo más profundo del Bosque Tropical y disfruta de los animales con total ausencia de objetos e instrumentos ajenos a las especies animales.

Las cálidas noches veraniegas de la Costa del Sol ofrecen al visitante esta posibilidad exclusiva en España y Europa, ya que Bioparc Fuengirola es el único Zoo europeo que abre sus instalaciones completas durante julio y agosto hasta las 12 de la noche, y el único del mundo, junto con el de Singapur.
El parque recrea la luz de luna mediante un complicado sistema de iluminación especial. Así, el visitante descubrirá, en su paseo por el parque, los secretos del mundo misterioso de la noche en los bosques tropicales.
Nueva Andalucía por su cercanía a la mayoría de ellos es llamada “El paraíso del Golf”.
En el Puerto la oferta de clubs, bares y discotecas es más que excelente, tanto que la noche se hace corta.
En temporada alta hay gente que va y que viene a todas horas, terrazas, pubs y discotecas están llenos cualquier día de la semana, mientras durante el resto del año suele haber más movimiento durante los fines de semana.
Sitios exclusivos y locales más económicos: Puerto Banús te ofrece ambos.
En verano se suma una alternativa más para disfrutar de la vida nocturna, ya que están abiertos los beach clubs.
El Ocean Club junto a Nikki Beach, es el más famoso de Marbella. Pero también tienes La Sala by the sea y Plaza beach: fiestas temáticas, actuaciones, conciertos, DJset… si te gusta este estilo, no quedarás decepcionado.
El hecho de organizar eventos es una características común para cualquier bar, pub o discoteca de Puerto Banús, Hay que estar al tanto y si te interesa algo en particular, es muy convemiente reservar plaza.
En gran parte de los establecimientos se pide un mínimo de código de vestimenta, así que hay que tenerlo en cuenta. A los caballeros les conviene de llevar pantalón largo, por si acaso.
Esto también se aplica en el caso de que quieras probar tu suerte en el Casino de Nueva Andalucía.
Los muelles del puerto están llenos de Relaciones Públicas promocionando sus locales y regalando consumiciones gratis, darse un paseo por la Marina es una buena forma de conocer sitios nuevos y disfrutar mejor de la vida nocturna de esta zona.
Las discotecas son las últimas en cerrar (generalmente alrededor de las 7 de la mañana), pero tranquilo… ¡ya abren las cafeterías para el desayuno!
El Casco Antiguo de Marbella es uno de los más bellos de Andalucía. Zona magníficamente conservada con callejuelas blancas y balcones floreados en donde, junto a los más variopintos establecimientos hallamos la Plaza de los Naranjos.
La Plaza de los Naranjos, bellísima plaza de típicas casas encaladas y naranjos que le dan el nombre, comprende:
– el Ayuntamiento, del siglo XVI, conservado en perfecto estado,
– la Ermita de Santiago, primera iglesia cristiana de la ciudad, construida en el siglo XV,
– la Casa del Corregidor, del siglo XVI.
Muy cerca de allí se ubica la Iglesia de la Encarnación, cuya edificación se inició en el siglo XVII, la Capilla de San Juan de Dios, del siglo XVI, que un día formara parte del hospital del pueblo, la Ermita del Santo Cristo de la Vera Cruz, construida en el siglo XVI.
El Hospital Bazán, que alberga desde 1992 el Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, primero en su género con un rico fondo de autores como Picasso, Miró, Tapies, Chillida y otros muchos.
Es posible visitar también los restos de la muralla que rodeaba la ciudad musulmana y los del Castillo Árabe en el que aún pueden apreciarse huellas de capiteles romanos que fueron extraídos de otras construcciones y aprovechados en la construcción de los muros.
En el Museo del Bonsái, también ubicado muy cerca de allí, se exhibe una magnífica colección de ejemplares que es reseñada como una de las mejores de Europa. El Centro Cultural Cortijo Miraflores, el Museo Ralli y la Colección Municipal Arqueológica constituyen asimismo una opción muy acertada en la visita cultural.
El Puerto José Banús, más conocido como Puerto Banús, es un puerto deportivo de gran lujo, situado en la urbanización Nueva Andalucía-Marbella.
Este enclave turístico se ha convertido, desde que fue inaugurado en 1970, en uno de los mayores centros de entretenimiento de la Costa del Solo, alcanzando fama y prestigio internacional.
Su localización geográfica y la visita de numerosos personajes populares lo convierten en un atractivo destino veraniego.
El corazón de Puerto Banús son sus muelles, una mezcla de tiendas y restaurantes de lujo, yates y coches de ensueño.
La Plaza Antonio Banderas, ubicada justo detrás del puerto deportivo, representa el eje del núcleo urbano: aquí encuentras un colorido mercadillo artesanal y locales famosos como el Hard Rock Café y en sus alrededores centros comerciales como El Corte Inglés o el Marina Banús, restaurantes de nivel como Sinatra’s, o bien unos multicines.
Todo esto sin olvidar la cercanía del Casino de Marbella, ubicado en las instalaciones del Hotel H10 Andalucía Plaza.
En las calles del Puerto se encuentran exclusivas firmas de moda con amplio horario de apertura como Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Versace, Bylgari, Cartier o Dolce&Gabbana.
La playa de Puerto Banus o Rio Verde es amplía y perfecta para los que aman hacer actividades acuáticas. La playa tiene aproximadamente un kilómetro de largo por unos 50 metros de ancho, la arena es dorada y de grano medio,y el estado del mar casi siempre es calmado, ya que está protegida por varios espigones, por lo que la hace ideal para el baño. Podemos encontrar varios Chiringuitos y zonas de hamacas además de puestos de actividades acuáticas.
La Playa del Duque está formada por pequeños espigones que forman encantadoras calas y protegen a los bañistas. Cuenta además de con algunos de los Beach Clubs más famosos del municipio de Marbella: el Ocean Club y La Sala by the Sea.
En el Boulevard de la Fama se rinde un homenaje a personalidades que han promocionado Marbella en el ámbito nacional o internacional mediante su dedicación profesional. Y en una de las rotondas de acceso al puerto podremos contemplar la enorme escultura, de tres toneladas, Rinoceronte vestido con puntillas (1956), de Salvador Dalí.
La playa más cercana es la del Hotel Guadalpín Banús 5* ( Mistral Beach)
Es una playa coqueta y familiar , que dispone de un aparcamiento vigilado gratuito gestionado por el Ayuntamiento durante la temporada alta, por lo que les aconsejamos por su comodidad y sobre todo durante los días calurosos de verano que vayan en coche. Se tarda 10-15 min. andando desde el inmueble.
Cómo llegar en coche desde la vivienda.
Servicios: Está dotada de duchas de agua dulce, servicio de alquiler de sombrillas y hamacas, chiringuito restaurante y servicio de alquiler para actividades y deportes acuáticos ( Motos acuáticas, tablas… etc.).
Está a 5 min. en coche. Hay siempre una gran animación a cualquier hora del día.
Está a 5-10 min. en coche ( según el tráfico). Es maravillosa para darse un paseo por su amplio y bonito Paseo Marítimo.

Marbella ofrece a los visitantes la más amplia variedad y calidad de posibilidades de ocio que se encuentran en el Mediterráneo. Cualquiera que sea su interés: turístico, cultural, deportivo, salud y bienestar, gastronómico, de ocio y diversión… podrá verlo satisfecho.
La temperatura media anual oscila alrededor de los 18.5º C con 320 días de sol anuales. Su situación geográfica rodeada de montañas y con una configuración de costa en forma de ensenada, la cobija de los vientos del norte y hace que disfrute de un microclima único.
Si a esto le unimos que Marbella dispone de 29,7 kms de Playas (10 de ellas con bandera azul), podemos entender que broncearse al sol, bañarse en las tranquilas aguas del Mediterráneo, almorzar en un restaurante en plena arena, practicar algún deporte acuático o tomarse una copa en un beach club… sean de las actividades más apreciadas entre los visitantes.

Es la prolongación natural de Puerto Banús (enclave cosmopolita y de élite) hacia los campos de Golf. Un área residencial muy tranquila en la que predominan lujosas urbanizaciones con amplias zonas comunes.
Está magníficamente ubicado en una zona residencial y tranquila (Altos del Rodeo), pero extremadamente bien comunicada con la N 340, a 12-15 min. andando del bullicio, tiendas y restaurantes de Puerto Banús y la playa ( 2 min en coche), a pocas manzanas del Casino y de la Plaza de Toros de Puerto Banús (donde los sábados hay mercadillo) y rodeado de Campos de Golf.
Acceso directo desde la Autovía a Algeciras.
La salida de la autovía de Algeciras N-340 es directamente a la calle en dónde está ubicada la urbanización, una vez pasado el casino y la salida 174 de Nueva Andalucía.

La urbanización es muy tranquila y residencial, cosa que agradecemos los que vamos a descansar.
No hay comercios cerca salvo enfrente un pequeño supermercado con amplio horario de apertura en el que hay numerosos productos de primera necesidad como pan del día, leche, huevos, verduras, embutidos, pizzas… productos de limpieza …y muchas bebidas frías y helados.
También se puede encargar comida a primera hora de la mañana como pollos asados…etc.
